Bunji's we're going places!
From the start of Yarn'n, we have focused on making a difference by offering homes and businesses around Australia great quality products that not only benefit our country but also give back.
As a First Nations-owned business, we know that the choices we make have a lasting effect on the country we walk. Having 100% recycled, FSC-certified, Australian-made products was our only way, and the 5-star reviews, feedback, and love from our bunji's inspire us to go even better next year.
Throughout my life, as a Wiradjuri man, an Australian, a friend, and a father, I have known that by putting in nothing but hard work, effort, and a desire to improve the connection our whole country has with each of our cultures, we can create something truly special, a nation we already love can only get stronger.
As we all do, I have looked to elders, friends and family for guidance and help. One of those men is Waverly Stanley AM, who, along with his wife Llew, founded Yalari 20 years ago. What Yalari does so well is not only to provide education for First Nations students across Australia but also to offer a community that lays the foundations for success. With over 580 alumni, 280 children currently in school and more to come, they have a 93% retention rate, which is a staggering number.
Whenever I am privileged to see the work of the people and alumni of Yalari, it inspires me to strive further each year. The team works so hard to provide all the tools needed for our young people to flourish, and it simply makes me giddy knowing that, having sponsored our first student last year, I can now proudly announce that, with your help, we are sponsoring three more children for the whole six years of their high school education.
You know we aren't stopping there. As bunji's of Yarn'n we need your help; nothing beats word of mouth; we believe our deadly dunny paper is soft enough for all and strong enough to move mountains. We're now proudly stocked in Australia's best hotels and your very homes.
Next year, you'll see more artists, more shared culture from new mobs, new hand towels and much more.
So share the Yarn'n with all your bunji's - together, we're making real generational change.
